Visitors who intend to visit several destinations in Brazil or South America should consider purchasing a the Brazilian Airpass or South America Airpass offered by TAM.

Brazil Air Pass

The TAM Brazil Air Pass was created for foreign and Brazilian nationals residing abroad who wish to travel within Brazil on flights operated by TAM (JJ) at an attractive rate.

To purchase the pass passengers need to purchase an international ticket commencing outside of Brazil to any destination in Brazil and request the Air Pass, to be issued in conjunction with the international ticket. The international flight does not have to be a TAM flight, but the cost of the Brazil Air Pass is cheaper if it is.

The price of 1-4 coupons is from US$551 and up to 9coupons are can be purchased.

The passes come with several restrictions. You should get your travel agent to give you an explanation of them before making a purchase.

South America Air Pass

TAM South America Air Pass is an airpass for foreign nationals residing outside of South America who wish to travel to Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela at attractive rates.

To purchase the Air Pass, the passenger must purchase an international ticket for travel commencing outside of South America to destinations in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and/or Venezuela. The Air Pass needs to be issued in conjunction with the international ticket. The international flight does not have to be with TAM, but the South America Air Pass will be cheaper if it is.

The price starts at US$339, increasing according to the distance that will be  flown. The details, and restrictions, should be explained to you by a travel agent before you book a ticket.
