Language Services

March 4, 2009

Few locals in Northeast Brazil speak any foreign language, not even English, and not even taxi-drivers or hotel receptionists. Tourist Information Offices usually have people who can speak at least basic English, and they are able to give you tourist maps and basic information in English.

Do not expect to find anything more than basic information in English. For example, you will get a tourist map of Olinda in English, but there is no English guidebook available to this World Heritage Centre. This lack of information was the reason for establishing Recife Guide.

To help you more we can also arrange a number of language services for you:

Recife Guide offers scheduled guided tours in English, Spanish, German and French in addition to Portuguese (Brazilian). These guides are also available for private tours.

Recife Guide can offer interpreters in English, Spanish, German and French

Recife Guide can offer private tuition on a 1-to-1 (VIP) or group basis to speakers of English, Spanish, German or French. Courses, from beginner to advanced levels, can be designed to meet your requirements.

We can provide all levels of translation in several languages: general language, professional and legal.
