RESTAURANTS
Olinda offers fewer restaurant choices than nearby Recife, but still offers an excellent variety of award winning regional, national and international options. The most famous regional restaurant is Oficina do Sabor, and Maison do Bom Fim won the 2009/10 award for the Best French Restaurant in the region (Veja Recife Awards). Moderate Restaurants in Olinda
BARS
Bars in Olinda’s historic center are mostly in old houses and tables usually spill out onto the pavement. One “bar” not to be missed is Bodega de Véio, the most traditional type of bar in the area, which is housed in a convenience store that sells everything except the kitchen sink.
